Arno:

Interesting patch to logging! Thanks!

It is relevant to ticket #57.

Brian has plans for a new logging scheme (#44, #56, #57, #58). It's
raison d'etre is to produce detailed logs during times of exceptional
events, and terse logs during normal operation. It's a neat idea!

It might also eventually gain Causeway [1] style tracing of
causality, which fix one of the headaches of using event-based
concurrency (Twisted) -- getting a stack trace that just says "Yep,
Twisted/Foolscap called this method and then this method raised an
exception." instead of finding out *why* that method got called (for
example, it could be that the method was invoked through Foolscap by
a remote Python object).

But anyway, I'm happy to see logging improvements like your
humanreadable patch. Let's just wait for Brian to say if he would
like this functionality plugged in to a different place or anything.

Regards,

Zooko
