It should be possible to run a single Tahoe node over SSH by making use 
of the SOCKS proxy functionality integrated in usual SSH clients (ssh 
-D). Then you can use software like tsocks¹ to have all Tahoe outgoing 
connections going through your SSH session.

It'll probably work just fine for a Tahoe client which doesn't provide 
any storage to the grid. IMO, providing storage to the grid require 
listening to incoming TCP connections which won't work in this setup.

Hope this helps, maybe you can try to describe a bit more what you're 
trying to achieve?
