I agree with Greg. There's a meaningful setting in which you want to
hide from a network eavesdropper the IP address of your client, *and*
you want to hide from the network eavesdropper the fact that multiple
requests of yours are all coming from the same client, and you want to
hide from the Tahoe-LAFS server the IP address of your client, but you
want to expose to the Tahoe-LAFS server the fact that they are all
coming from the same account so that the server can track the usage of
that account.

This is probably one of the most common needs for a client. Another
common need for a client would be to also hide from the Tahoe-LAFS
server the fact that their requests are all coming from the same
account. (This would be for accessing resources that the storage
server is willing to give out freely to clients without any
accounting, I guess.)
