Least Authority May Update

Hello all!

This update will cover Least Authority’s work for the Tahoe-LAFS Software
Foundation for May 2024.

During this time frame the team was able to work on the following:


   -

   Recovery Phrases
   -

      Finalized and submitted PR (#1365) for implementing “deterministic
      dircaps” (ticket #4094), and responded to review/comments
      -

      Ongoing work on “Recovery Phrases” UI for Gridsync



   -

   New capability types:
   -

      Reviewed past efforts and designs (“Rainhill”), started investigating
      “append-only” caps



   -

   Port Tahoe-LAFS Mobile to iOS
   -

      Completed successful build
      -

      CI in place now to make sure the build will continue to work



   -

   Replacement for the Current Issue Tracking System - Trac (ticket #4095)
   -

      Created a proposal for a new web landing page
      -

      Helped to get a fresh and curated hotcopy of Trac data (24th of May)
      -

      Working on tools

   Other/misc.:

      Minor Gridsync maintenance; updating CI/buildbot-workers,
      debugging/fixing CI issues; investigating CircleCI failures


Additionally, a few hours of our time was spent on project administration
and coordination.
