The following covers Least Authority’s work for the Tahoe-LAFS Software
Foundation during September 2024:


   -

   Recovery Phrases – “lafs” Rust crate:
   -

      Switched to new “declarative” Python module syntax (Issue #3; PR #4)
      -

      Added support for additional RSA key formats (Issue #1; PR #5)
      -

      Dropped support for Python 3.8 (Issue #6; PR #7)
      -

      Published 0.0.3 release on crates.io (Issue #9; PRs #8, #10, #11)
      -

      Published experimental Python package on PyPI:

      -

      Debugging maturin/linker failures with mixed crate-types on macOS
      arm64 (Issue #12)
      -

   Create Tahoe-LAFS Mobile from PrivateStorage Mobile
   -

      Continued work on arbitrary grids functionality
      -

   Port Tahoe-LAFS Mobile to iOS
   -

      Implemented latest fixes from Obsidian on iOS build issues and
      continued to work with them on further fixes
      -

   Replacement for the Current Issue Tracking System - Trac (ticket #4095)
   -

      Collected Trac users and their GitHub handle to populate the PoC on
      Gitea/Forgejo
      -

      Testing redirections for legacy URLs and spam mitigation measures on
      Gitea/Forgejo
      -

      Consolidating the related documentation in
      https://github.com/tahoe-lafs/MoveOffTrac
      -

   Other/misc.:
   -

      Assisting with work on improvements to onboarding and documentation
      -

      Steps towards re-including Tahoe-LAFS in Debian
      -

      Began interviewing Haskell developer candidates so we can get back to
      working on the Cloud backend for Tahoe-LAFS
      -

      General maintenance tasks for adjacent projects
      (deterministic-keygen: Issue #23, PRs #24 #25; Gridsync: PRs #705, #706)


Additionally, a few hours of our time was spent on project administration
and coordination.
