Least Authority August Update

Hello all!

The following covers Least Authority’s work for the Tahoe-LAFS Software
Foundation during August 2024:


   -

   Recovery Phrases
   -

      Migrated Rust implementation of (parts of) “allmydata.util” modules
      (netstring, base32, hashutil) from “deterministic-keygen” project into
      standalone “lafs” library crate.
      -

      Added python bindings (via pyo3), integration tests, and CI config
      for “lafs” crate.
      -

      Published “lafs” crate on crates.io (https://crates.io/crates/lafs)
      -

   Create Tahoe-LAFS Mobile from PrivateStorage Mobile
   -

      Continued work on arbitrary grids functionality
      -

   Port Tahoe-LAFS Mobile to iOS
   -

      Implemented latest fixes from Obsidian on iOS build issues and
      continued to work with them on further fixes
      -

   Replacement for the Current Issue Tracking System - Trac (ticket #4095)
   -

      Worked around and reported a bug to migrate between Forge/Gitea
      instances
      -

      Start planning the possible migration paths (self-hosted vs Codeberg)
      -

   Other/misc.:
   -

      Assisting with work on improvements to onboarding and documentation
      -

      Steps towards re-including Tahoe-LAFS in Debian



Additionally, a few hours of our time was spent on project administration
and coordination.
