As mentioned in our July 2025 final update for the grant work we completed last year, some of the work we did was additional maintenance work. As of today, 6 months later, we still have not received a response on whether we should continue that work or transition it to someone else. Due to the lack of funding for this continued work and the absence of a transition plan, we will be shutting down the VPS servers hosted by Hetzner. Least Authority has been paying for and maintaining these at our own out-of-pocket cost for the past 6 months and can no longer afford to do so. The shut down of these servers will be completed by January 31, 2026. These servers currently host the Tahoe-LAFS test grid and the new Tahoe-LAFS website (not live) that was created as part of the Move Off Trac project. Once the servers are shut down, these will no longer be available. Additionally, we did not receive a response from the community for input and consensus on the following items, so we have been unable to complete the Move Off Trac project. - Write access to the DNS records of the tahoe-lafs.org domain (#4162 ) - Interactive access to the Trac instance via SSH on Linode server (#4161 ) Please let us know if you have any questions or comments. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
